Oldenburg signs prospect Bacak to three-year deal

EWE Baskets Oldenburg signed teenage big man Marko Bacak to a three-year deal on Tuesday. Bacak (2.10 meters, 19 years old) was born in Berlin, but is of Croatian lineage. He spent the summer playing for Croatia at the Under-20 European Championships and has recently received a German passport too. Bacak averaged 3.6 points on 60% shooting and 5 rebounds in nine games over the summer. He is a product of the ALBA Berlin youth system and played for its farm team, DBV/TusLi Berlin, last season, during which he averaged 8.2 points and 10.7 rebounds per game.
