Telekom Baskets Bonn announces Aaron White
The rookie signs in Germany
Telekom Baskets Bonn signed rookie forward Aaron White over the weekend. White (2.06 meters, 22 years old) most recently played for Washington in the NBA summer league; Washington drafted White in the second round of June’s NBA Draft. He spent four seasons playing for the University of Iowa, for whom he averaged 16.4 points and 7.3 rebounds last season, after which he was named First Team All-Big Ten. White left Iowa as the school’s all-time leader in free throws made (618), ranked second in scoring (1,859) and third in rebounding (901). He also played for Team USA at the 2013 World University Games in Kazan, Russia.
"Aaron has convinced throughout his time in Iowa and continually improved his performance from season to season," Bonn head coach Baskets Mathias Fischer said. "He has great athletic ability, a wide arsenal of offensive weapons and will strengthen us because of his length and speed in defense."
