Barcelona back on track to sign Trevor Mbawke for next season
The Spanish team is also eyeing with interest the situation around Boban Marjanovic
Spanish powerhouse Barcelona made a first attempt to sign Trevor Mbawke two months ago, but Brose Bamberg was reluctant and the deal didn't take off. According to Gigantes, Barcelona is still pursuing Mbakwe for next season.
The Spanish club will reshape the frontcourt with Ante Tomic, Tibor Pleiss and Macej Lampe on their ways out from Barcelona. Tomic can land in the NBA where the Utah Jazz are eying him, instead Pleiss hasn't been able to provide the return that Barcelona expected.
Mbakwe's averaging 10.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.5 blocks playing 23.7 minutes per game in Bundesliga.
Barcelona is also looking with interest to the situation around Boban Marjanovic. The Serbian big man will become free agent in summer and Barcelona will be one of the front runners to sign him.
