Bayern Munich guard Anton Gavel will miss a month of action
The guard is out for one month
FC Bayern Munich could be without starting point guard Anton Gavel for the next month following an ankle injury suffered in a German League game over the weekend. The player was evaluated by the club’s medical staff on Monday, upon which a recovery timetable of four weeks was established. Gavel has averaged 7.8 points and 3.3 assists in four Turkish Airlines Euroleague game this season, which is his first in Munich.
Gavel is not the only Bayern player currently under medical care. Swingman Nihad Djedovic slipped on court during the same German League game and is nursing a groin injury. Several other players have been dealing with a virus and flu-like symptoms. However two additional players who have been sidelined, Bryce Taylor and Paul Zisper, are nearing their returns.
