La PG ha chiuso la passata stagione a Cantù
Prime Euroleague defender Doron Perkins is nearing a deal with Ukrainian champions BC Donetsk, sources close to the negotiations exclusively told Sportando.
Perkins, who battled back from what could have been a career-ending-injury in March 2011 when tearing his his Meniscus, his ACL and MCL, before clawing his way back to the top -- joining Italian Bennet Cantu last February – is expected to sign for an offer higher than that of Maccabi Tel Aviv's.
The former Israeli league standout posted 9.5 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.7 steals in his last Euroleague season with Maccabi Tel Aviv. Last season, Perkins, the 2009 Israeli League Player of the Year, led Cantu's offense with 11.1 points, 6.2 boards, 3.3 dimes and 2.1 steals per game.
He recently pulled his name from the Phoenix Suns' summer league roster in order to better prepare for the upcoming season.
