Derrick Zimmerman moves to BC Kyiv

Derrick Zimmerman will return to the Ukraine for a fourth straight season. After having played twice for Budivelnik, and last year for Hoverla, he has now signed for BC Kiev. The former 2nd round draft pick has built a reputation in the Ukraine as a reliable and athletic point guard who tries to get his team mates involved and works very hard on the defensive end. He was third leading in assists in the Ukraine last season and 5th in 2008/2009. With Hoverla, Zimmerman averaged 10.6ppg, 4.8rpg and 4.9apg.
