BC Donetsk inks Lypovyy with a multi-year deal
Il giocatore firma per cinque anni
A familiar face will be back in BC Donetsk next season, none other than Oleksandr Lypovyy, who inked a five-year deal with the Ukrainian powerhouse on Tuesday. Lypovyy (2.00 meters, 19 years old) was sent to Donetsk on loan from BC Kyiv last March and averaged 2.7 points in 19 Ukrainian League games, helping the team to reach the finals. He did better with Kyiv, averaging 13.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 40 Ukrainian League games before joining Donetsk, that now bought out his contract to sign him until the end of the 2015-16 season. Lypovyy is now getting ready to lead the Ukrainian under-20 team at the European Championships that start in Bilbao, Spain, next week. It is just the start of a very busy summer for him, as Lypovyy is also expected to play the World University Games in China and will battle for a spot in the Ukrainian national team to be at EuroBasket 2011 in late August.
