L'allenatore arriva dal Regal Barcelona
Ukrainian powerhouse Budivelnik reached an agreement with coach Josep Berrocal, who signed a contract to lead the team until the end of the 2012-13 season, the club announced Wednesday. Berrocal, age 40, started his coaching career in 1992, leading DKV Joventut's junior team until 1996. He joined FC Barcelona in summer 1997, coaching its second, summer league and junior teams until he was promoted to the first team's assistant coach spot in 2002. Berrocal worked for Svetislav Pesic, Dusko Ivanovic and Xavi Pascual, among others, helping Barcelona to win its two Euroleague titles in 2003 and 2010. Always as assistant coach, Berrocal won two Spanish League titles and lifted three Spanish King's Cup trophies from 2003 to 2010. Berrocal faces the chance to coach an elite team, as Budivelnik has the chance to reach the 2010-11 Euroleague through the Qualifying Rounds.
