SL Favorit Sport: Khimik wins the inaugural season
3-1 the final series against Dynamo Kyiv
Khimik Yuzhny won the first edition of the new SL Favorit Sport league, after the victory of the SuperLeague last year.
The team of coach Yushkin closed with 28-4 record the regular season, reaching the playoff final with the victories on VolinBasket and Cherkasy. In the decisive series Khimik lost the first game (77-79) but won the other balanced challenges against the Dynamo Kyiv for 70-65, 78-75 and 78-76, taking home the second trophy of the year after the victory in the Ukrainan Cup.
Branden Frazier was the MVP of the last game (29+6+6) but during the season were important also the performances of Petrov, Konev and Matthew Shaw. Not enough for the team from the capital the experience of Lypovyy and Drodzov, to reach the final success.
