BC Lulea the new champions of Basketligan
4-1 the final series against Sodertalje
BC Lulea celebrated the 2017 Basketligan title thanks to the 4-1 victory in the final series against the 4 consecutive times champions of Södertälje. This is the championship number 8 for the club, the last one in 2007 season, in a year where the city obtained also the women title!
After the first place in regular season (24-8) Lulea eliminated during the playoffs Umea and Uppsala, winning also the first 3 games of the finals. Sodertalje won at home game-4, but the opponents with the clear 89-65 success closed the season and the series (4-1).
Rozzell and Anzuluni the top scorer of the decisive match, with 27 & 24 points, helped also by the performances of Upshur. Not enough across the experience of Bizaca and the last attempts of Spires.
