Krka extended with Bratoz, Marinelli and Cinac
The Slovenian team keeps three players
Krka managed to keep together practically entire team, that made a huge success by winning the ABA League 2 trophy this season. Paolo Marinelli, Domen Bratož and Dino Cinac have signed new contracts.
“Bratož, Marinelli and Cinac have played relentlessly and creatively this season so the decision to extend cooperations with them was simple,” the President Andraž Šuštarič told.
Paolo Marinelli and Domen Bratož held the game of Krka in their own hands, while Dino Cinac made his mark with rebounding, fighting and several important three-point shots.
Domen Bratož is a player, developed in Krka, where he began his basketball career. Later he was on a loan at Slovan Ljubljana and played afterwards for Riga, Šentjur and Estonian side Rapla. With Šentjur he was the Slovenian national champion. For Krka he averaged 21 minutes, 7.7 points 2.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists.
Paolo Marinelli was the biggest name of his generation in Europe during his youth years. He began his career at Split, spent the years between 2013 and 2016 in Slovenia with Petrol Olimpija and was loaned afterwards to Kvarner. Last season he was a member of Cibona and in the autumn of 2017 he joined Krka, where he will continue his career as well. In the ABA League 2 he averaged 24 minutes, 10.6 points, 4 assists and 2.2 rebounds per game.
Dino Cinac signed for Krka in October, after he arrived from Sweden (Jamtland), where he used to be the fifth best scorer of the league. Before he played for Karlovac, Kraljevica, Škrljevo, Kvarner, Jolly JBŠ Šibenik and Zagreb. In 25 minutes per game on average in the ABA League 2 he averaged 12.9 points and 5.7 rebounds per game.
