Olimpija Ljubljana signs Domen Lorbek

Petrol Olimpija Ljubljana have signed an agreement on cooperation with former Slovenia national team member Domen Lorbek, who is coming back to Olimpija, where he had previously played in the 2006/07 season. The player has agreed to play for the team from Ljubljana for one season.

Head coach Gašper Okorn has thanked the club’s management for the new reinforcement: “I thank the club’s management for successfully bringing in Domen Lorbek. I believe that we can help Domen return to the court, while he can contribute to us a lot as well. We will all have to be patient, since we have to be aware of the fact that he is coming back from an injury and that he hasn’t been playing games in a year. We will gradually try to prepare him well, game by game. Domen has already undergone several practices with us and is rehabilitated. He has also undergone the medical examination, that has revealed that the injury is well healed. Physically he is ready, but he lacks contact and playing 5 on 5. It is not necessary to discuss the individual qualities of Domen Lorbek, since I believe that everyone knows him well and are aware of the fact what kind of a player he is.
