Union Olimpija has made an agreement for the upcoming season with American center Jordan Morgan. 25-year old powerful player played in Greece for Kymis during the 2016/17 season. Morgan, who used to play in the NCAA for the Michigan University, averaged 11.6 points and 9 rebounds per game in the Greek national championship. He used to play for Virtus Roma, Hermine Nantes and Paris-Levallois before Kymis in Europe.

The player is also active outside the court, as he established and runs the non-profit organization Jordan Morgan, which has a goal of improving the social and educational situation of youngsters in his hometown of Detroit and state of Michigan.

“I have spent 3 seasons in Europe and an offer from Union Olimpija is something that I have grabbed with my both hands, as it is a renowned club with a rich history of playing in European competitions. I am aware of the challenge in several competitions and the importance of winning the domestic titles, which have been presented to me in the club as the main goals,” the player did not try to hide his excitement when reaching the deal.

Gašper Okorn, Union Olimpija head coach added: “It is so far the biggest reinforcement of our side this summer. It is the player that will be the key of our game under both rims. With his strength, agility and knowledge I believe that he will be able to accomplish the mission, placed ahead of him.”
