Union Olimpija back on top in Slovenia after 8 years winning Liga Nova KBM

Union Olimpija Ljubljana is back, winning after 8 years the Slovenian championship, 3-1 in the finals agaisnt Rogaska. Last time for Ljubljana (16 total trophies) was in 2009 season, with 5 consecutive finals lost between 2010 and 2014, all against Krka.

Union Olimpija won also the national cup, closing as second best team the first round of the RS, but only in 4th place the second round before the playoffs. Ljubljana surprised Krka in the semifinals, across Crystal won 2-1 against Zlatorog to reach the finals.

With the 89-87 OT away win in game-1 Ljubljana changed the history of the championship series, closing the season with the clear 94-78 to celebrate at home the success. Devin Oliver was named MVP of the finals with 18+7 in the last match and 25+12 in the decisive game-1 victory. Great things also from Hrovat, Jankovic and Jefferson (30pts in game-4). For Rogaska not enough the 29pts of Davis in the last game of the season, and the efforts from Ferme and Johns.
