FIBA sent letters to Slovenian and FYROM basketball federations, as confirmed by the two federations.
The two Federations have to suspend the clubs that are participating in competitions not recognized by FIBA. Otherwise FIBA reserves the right to exclude their National Teams from all FIBA competitions.
Slovenia has Krka Novo Mesto and Union Olimpija Ljubljana playing in ABA Liga and Union Olimpija in EuroCup while FYROM has MZT Skopje playing in ABA Liga and EuroCup.
The deadline is November 25 and Slovenia has been “threatened” that the National Team will not be in the draw for Eurobasket 2017 scheduled for November 22 in Istanbul.
