The forward inks for one year
Union Olimpija Ljubljana bolstered its frontcourt by inking power forward Marko Mladjan to a one-year deal on Wednesday. Mladjan (2.05 meters, 23 years old) arrives from BBC Monthey, where he averaged 16.4 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 32 Swiss League games last season, in which he helped his club lift the Swiss Cup trophy. He has played his whole career in Switzerland, starting it with BC 79 Arbedo. Mladjan also worked for Star Gordola, Lugano Tigers, Groupe E Academie Fribourg and Fribourg Olympic. He helped Lugano win back-to-back Swiss doubles - league and cup titles - in 2011 and 2012. Mladjan is also a member of the Swiss national team.
