Telemach League: Helios Domzale wins the title against Zlatorog
The Suns are the new champions of Slovenia with the game-4 victory in the finals
Domzale won for the second time the Slovenian championship, beating 3-1 Zlatorog Lasko in the final series for the title. Another trophy this season for the Suns, after the succes of the Alpe Adria Cup.
Really surprising final, as happened last year, with the elimination in the semifinals of Krka and Olimpija. Helios won the series against Novo Mesto, thanks to the game-3 away victory. Across Zlatorog beat Ljubljana, always in 3 games.
Not a really great season for the 2015 champions of Tajfun, out in the quarterfinals after the last place in ABA Liga.
The new champions won the decisive game-4 64-56, first home victory of the finals. No revenge for Zlatorog, despite the losing effort of Chris Booker, Vasl, Abrams, Vujasinovic and the experience of Jurak. Cakarun was voted as Finals MVP, after a 15+8 season. For Domzale really important the help also from Robertson and Lelic.
Jan Barbaric was the seasonal MVP: 18ppg, 6.4rpg and 2.9apg for the 1995 guard of Portoroz.
