Krka Novo Mesto beat Union Olimpija Ljubliana in the finals
Krka has become the Slovenian champion for 5th time in a row and 7th time in the entire history by overcoming Union Olimpija in the decisive 5th game of Slovenian League finals.
Krka stays in charge of Slovenian club basketball scene, after beating Union Olimpija in a thriller of the 5th final game of Slovenian League. The side from Novo mesto was practically in a lost position with 4 minutes remaining, as the guests were up by 8 points (56:48). However, the key player of the Ljubljana Dragons Dino Murić was sent off the court with 5th personal foul in this moment, Krka made a 10:2 run to tie the game and turned it around in the final moments.
Sani Bečirović was the man of the match with 18 points, 4 rebounds and an assist on his account, while Jaka Klobučar was named the MVP of the finals. For Union Olimpija, Sasu Salin and Alex Stepheson topped the scorers' list with 11 points scored each.
This is the 5th consecutive Slovenian League champions' trophy for Krka and the 7th in entire history. Union Olimpija is still at the top of the all-time standings with 15 domestic trophies.
