Unics Kazan, Aco Petrovic part ways

Unics Kazan announced Thursday that Coach Aco Petrovic has left the team. Petrovic parted ways with his players and the coaching staff at a dinner on Thursday evening. The decision came after the club lost in Belgrade to Crvena Zvezda Telekom in the Eurocup on Wednesday to drop to 2-2 in the Eurocup, which was below the club’s expectations. This was Petrovic’s second stint with Kazan; he led the club to the Russian Cup in 2009. No information was released regarding future coaching options. Unics hosts Galatasaray Medical Park Istanbul on February 13 in its next Eurocup contest.
