Primoz Brezec: 'I would like to play again in Italy'

Primoz Brezec in a long interview to Siol.net said that next season he would love to play closer to Slovenia. The big man is in Russia with Nizhny Novgorod who signed him in the middle of the season after his poor start with Lokomotiv Kuban. Nizhny would love to keep him but Brezec said that he hopes to play again in Italy where he has already been in 2008-09 with Virtus Roma. Brezec didn't rule out the option to stay in Russia. 'I want to play closer to my home, and I think Italy is one of the most reliable options. We'll see what happens. I leave my options open also for Russia' said Brezec who confirmed his retirement from the Slovenian National Team. 'As I said already, I won't play anymore for the National Team. It is time to give space to the new generations. Gasper Vidmar already showed he can play in the NT' said Brezec.
