Lokomotiv Rostov releases Ivan Tomas

Croatian Ivan Tomas (193-G-81, agency: Agency No 10) in no longer a member of Lokomotiv Rostov. The Russian team decided to cut Tomas after 8 games in A Superleague with 8 ppg, 1.6 rpg and 2.6 apg. Tomas also appeared 7 times in EuroChallenge adding 2.6 ppg and 3.1 apg. Lokomotiv signed contract with Aleksandar Capin (186-G-82) in January, what could be the reason for leaving of Tomas. It is interesting that the head coach of Lokomotiv Rostov is Croatian Daniel Jusup. His team currently has 6-8 record, what is not enough for any better than position number eight.
Ivan Tomas arrived to Lokomotiv Rostov during the summer 2008. He started 07/08 season in Bosnian team Siroki Prima Pivo averaging 13.3 ppg, 2.1 rpg and 5.6 apg in Adriatic league. In January this year he joined Spanish Fuenlabrada. In 5 ACB league games he had 3.2 ppg. Before these two teams, Tomas played for PAOK and Cibona. With the team from Zagreb he won the championship title in Croatia. In 05/06 he also changed two teams, Lietuvos Rytas and Panellinion Athens. Since 1999 to 2005 Ivan Tomas was a member of Zagreb. In 2002 he was invited fro the first time to join Team Croatia and was its player until 2005.
