CSKA Moscow must try to hold onto first place in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague without its two most productive centers, Kyle Hines and Othello Hunter, who will miss the next several games due to injury, the club announced Tuesday. Hines injured his right calf in the team's Round 21 EuroLeague game against Real Madrid. Hunter is diagnosed with collateral ligament damage in his right knee after colliding with an opponent in a domestic game on Sunday against another EuroLeague team, Khimki Moscow Region. The club's announcement said that the rehabilitation periods for both players will be estimated after more medical tests. Neither of the 31-year-old big men will travel to Valencia for the team's game on Thursday. As such, Hines will see his streak of 132 consecutive EuroLeague appearances, which began in January of 2014, come to an end. He is averaging 8.6 points and 4.6 rebounds this season in a starting role. Hunter has come off the bench for 6.8 points and 5.4 rebounds per game in this, his first season with CSKA. Another big man, Pavel Korobkov, was de-registered by CSKA on Tuesday due to an injury, after having returned from another one to appear in four games recently. Also on Tuesday, CSKA registered 22-year-old forward Alexander Gankevich, who would make his EuroLeague debut should he see action.
