Russian billionaire Dmitry Gerasimenko may build the new sports palace in Cantù, according to La Provincia di Como.
Gerasimenko, who owns Russian VTB League Krasny Oktyabr, is also a basketball player and debuted in Eurocup last season.
Gerasimenko’s son is playing with Pallacanestro Cantù junior teams since two years while the family leaves in Switzerland.

Cantù is trying to build a new arena since years with two projects that miserably failed over the last two decades.
Gerasimenko would partner with Pallacanestro Cantù to build the new arena in the Italian city while the club would rent from Gerasimenko the sports palace for 10 years.
