The Greens are close to the point guard
Panathinaikos is negotiating with Kenyon Martin but it is also close to penning a deal with DJ Cooper.
The point guard spent last season in Greece with PAOK averaging 10.5 points, 4.6 rebounds and 6.5 assists.
Last summer Cooper moved to Enisey Krasnoyarsk in Russia where he had an average of 10.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and 8.8 assists.
Monday is the deadline to register new players for the Greek playoffs.
