Tyshawn Taylor signs a contract with Dynamo Moscow
The former NBA signs in Russia
Tyshawn Taylor signed a contract with Dynamo Moscow, according to his agency Interperformances.
Taylor managed to play in three leagues last year. He played in the summer at Atleticos de San German in Puerto Rican BSN league where in 17 games he recorded very impressive stats: 23.0ppg, 3.9rpg, 6.6apg and 1.6spg.
The last season he played at Maine Red Claws in D-League. In 23 games he averaged 14.2ppg, 4.1rpg, 5.0apg and 1.3spg. Taylor also spent pre-season at the Pelicans in NBA that year. The other team he played that season for were the Nets in NBA. In 22 games he averaged 4.0ppg and 1.6apg. Another team Taylor played shortly was Springfield Armor in D-League. In two games he averaged 9.0ppg, 3.5rpg, 4.0apg and 1.5spg.
Two years ago he was drafted by Drafted by Portland Trail Blazers (NBA) in second round (41st overall). Taylor attended University of Kansas until 2012 and it will be his third season in pro basketball. Among other achievements his team won Big 12 Regular Season in 2009, 2010 and 2012. Taylor received also NABC Division I All-District 8 1st Team award in 2012 at his college time. Taylor represented USA at the World Championships U19 in New Zealand five years ago.
Taylor has played previously professionally in NBA (Brooklyn Nets) and D-League (Springfield A.).
