Krstic: In CSKA I had to play PF instead of C. Messina was killing me as a player

Nenad Krstic left CSKA Moscow this summer to join Anadolu Efes Istanbul.

In an interview with Novosti, the Serbian big man did not have “sweet” words for his former coach in Russia, Ettore Messina.

Messina left CSKA at the end of the season to become assistant coach of the Spurs.

“In the last two years I’ve been used at 50% of my potential. For the first time in my career I have played as power forward because coach Messina wanted that. I accepted his decision because I am a professional player. However, playing in that position was choking me. I was tortured. Somehow, Messina was killing me as a player” said Krstic.
