Russian specialist Anton Yudin is well-known to the Army Team fans as the former player of the team. Anton wore the red-blue uniform for 4 seasons with the breaks. He finished his playing career in 2010 and worked as an assistant coach in Spartak St.Petersburg from 2011.

Darryl Middleton, American with Spanish passport, one of the top centers in Europe in recent past, played in Spanish League fourth division during previous season becoming the oldest player ever in the country’s pro league in the age of 47. His resume contains 2002 Euroleague title with Panathinaikos and 3 Spanish League MVP titles.

Ukrainian Maxim Fomichev is one of the youngest (24) coaches in European basketball. He passed internship in BC Kiev, BC Donetsk and Armani Jeans. He joined our team from UNICS Kazan where he had assistant coach position.

Dimitris Itoudis, CSKA head coach:
As I said already Andreas will be my first assistant. We have 7-year experience of working together. I now Anton as a former player who finished his career in Spartak and as hard-working coach. Maxim is ready to scout the players and teams for us for 24 hours per day and I think he will be good addition to our staff. Darryl set a number of records in his playing career, he played in Turkey, Spain, Greece, Russia and possesses European basketball mentality. His primary task will be to work with big men. As for Kostas he worked on the highest level in the USA and Greece. Him and Evgeny are full of energy and they know perfectly how important is it to prepare the players, to prevent injuries especially in realities of the long season starting from the National Teams and finishing with the lengthy playoff series. Taking into account that our team has a number of top-level players we consider it very important to give more attention to this aspect. Kostas will be in charge for the athletic preparation and Evgeny will be busy with individual work, rehab and preventing injuries. As a bottom line I’d like to say that I interviewed everyone from the staff. Everyone showed huge desire to work for CSKA, to reach our common goals, and that was the main factor for us.
