Trefl Sopot adds Piotr Dabrowski and Mateusz Jarmakowicz
Due arrivi per la squadra polacca
Busy Trefl Sopot added two more players to its roster Wednesday by signing guard Piotr Dabrowski and big man Mateusz Jarmakowicz. Both players signed for one season with options on the 2013-14 season. Dabrowski (1.92 meters, 26 years old) arrives from Polpharma Starogard Gdansk, for whom he averaged 5.3 points and 1.3 steals in 38 Polish League games last season. He is considered to be a tough defensive player with a reliable outside shot. Dabrowski is a product of the Kwidzyn Basket youth system, where he debuted in the top league in 2007 and played until 2009. He has also played for PBG Basket Poznan.
Jarmakowicz (2.08 meters, 24 years old) spent last season with AZS Koszalin, with whom he compiled averages of 3.5 points and 1.9 rebounds in 11 minutes over 32 games. He was once considered an elite prospect and spent a season with the Benetton Treviso juniors and another with the Real Madrid reserve team, but did not catch on with either. He ultimately returned to Poland and signed a multi-year deal with PGE Turow Zgorzelec when he was 19. He also played one season on loan for Zastal Zielona Gora. Jarmakowicz played for the Polish national team at multiple junior levels.
