Asseco Prokom tabs Jerel Blassingame

Perennial Polish League champion Asseco Prokom has revamped its backcourt with the signing of guard Jerel Blassingame. Blassingame (1.75 meters, 29 years old) starred in the Polish League for Energa Czarni Slupsk last season and faced Prokom in the playoff semifinals. He averaged 13.6 points, was second in the league with 6.2 assists and seventh with 1.4 steals per game last season. The well-travelled playmaker has also suited up for AEK Athens in Greece, Maccabi Rishon Lezion in Israel, ENAD in Cyprus, Solna in Sweden and Odessa in Ukraine after a college basketball career at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas.
