Asecco Prokom extends Dan Ewing

Asseco Prokom announced that guard Daniel Ewing will remain with the club for a third season after agreeing to a one-year extension. Ewing (191, 27) comes off a strong season in which he helped the club reach the Euroleague quarterfinals and win the Polish League. Ewing averaged 11.6 points, 2.8 assists and 1.2 steals over 29 minutes in 19 Euroleague games last season. He improved to 15 points on 59.1% three-point shooting, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals in the quarterfinals. Ewing averaged 11.6 points, 2.8 assists and 1.2 steals in Polish League action. Before arriving in Poland, Ewing played for BC Khimki Moscow Region in Russia and the Los Angeles Clippers in the NBA. He was a college basketball star at Duke University, where Ewing was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament MVP during his sophomore year and was an All-ACC Tournament First Team selection the following two seasons. He was named team captain in his final two seasons and was a starter on the squad that reached the NCAA Final Four in 2004.
