Igor Griszczuk has extended the contract with the club Anwil Wloclawek. Last season 45-year-old Belarussian with Polish passport led Anwil to the first medal for the first time since 2006. Griszczuk is a legend in Wloclawek, because of eleven years spent there as a player. After the retirement he joined coaching staff and was an assistant during three years. Next he moved to Energa Czarni Slupsk, where he led the team two seasons and a half. In October 2008 Griszczuk came back to Anwil. So from now on, the club start creating their roster. Anwil want to keep Lukasz Koszarek and Andrzej Pluta, however both have been given and offer from Asseco Prokom Sopot.
A new headcoach has been hired by Bank BPS Basket Kwidzyn. It is 30-year-old Pawel Mrozik who has recently coached at the Valparaiso University since August, 2008. Before the adventure with NCAA he he founded Polish Shootout Basketball Services, which runs Elite Showcase camps, as well as clinics and individual workouts. Mrozik played even one season professionally for AZS Lublin before entering into coaching. Mrozik's assistant will be Dariusz Litwin.
Gasper Okorn (agency: VTBM/SRBM ) rejected the offer from Energa Czarni Slupsk so the club still look for the headcoach.
