Stelmet Zielona Gora keep Russell Robinson for the season

Stelmet Zielona Gora picked up the team's option and signed guard Russell Robinson for the remainder of the 2014-15 season, after completing a 10-day contract.

"Russell has shown an unbelievable, relentless passion during workouts and practices over the past 10 days, trying to prove that he can be a valuable option for us in reaching our goals", Walter Jeklin, Stelmet's General Manager said.

"I think there is no doubt about it after Sunday night", he added.

Robinson keyed Stelmet's comeback during Sunday night's showdown between the league's finalists of the last two seasons. He went 5-for-8 from the field including two three-pointers and had 14 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals all in the final quarter as Stelmet rallied from an eight-point deficit to stun the defending champions PGE Turow Zgorzelec 78-70 in front of a sellout crowd in Zielona Gora.
