Apoel Nicosia lands rookie Ben Eaves and Jontae Sherrod

The Cypriot league’s champions Apoel Nicosia decided to reinforce their roster in order to maintain the National title and the Cup, so they added the two rookies Ben Eaves and Jontae Sherrod.
Eaves is a product of the University of Rhode Island and has a British passport. He is a very athletic forward with the ability to shoot off the dribble and hit the three. He is the complete all around package, has a strong work ethic and has the potential to be in a star in Europe.
Ben has proved himself in international basketball as a member of Great Britain Juniors averaging 18.9 points per game and 7.9 rebounds per game in the European Championships in Slovakia.
Sherrod played college basketball at the East Carolina University and is a a shooting guard with good mid range jumper off the catch or off the dribble. Jontae has a very smooth release and his shot is especially deadly in a catch and shoot situation. In transition he can drive to the rim where he can finish. He is an active defender with good anticipation off the ball in passing lanes: has improved as a passer and rebounder.
