BK Prostejov extends Nicholson
Czech League finalist BK Prostejov signed a new agreement with center Yemi Nicholson to keep him in the team until the end of the 2011-12 season. Nicholson (2.08 meters, 28 years old) averaged 10.9 points and 6.7 rebounds in 44 Czech League games last season. He has also played for Basketbal Pezinok in Slovakia, Eisbaeren Bremerhaven in Greece, Albuquerque and Austin in the NBA Development League, CD Villa de Los Barrios in Spain, Dexia Mons-Hainaut in Belgium and Criollos de Caguas in Puerto Rico. Nicholson, an accomplished defensive center and blocked shots specialist, won the Slovakian League and the Slovakian Cup titles with Pezinok in 2010. He will now try to lead Prostejov to the Eurocup regular season by surviving the two-way Qualifying Round against Bulgarian League champion Lukoil Academic.
