GasTerra completes roster with John Turek
La squadra olandese giocherà i preliminari di Euroleague
Dutch League champion GasTerra Flames got ready for the 2010-11 Euroleague Qualifying Rounds by inking center John Turek to a one-year deal. Turek (205, 27) arrives from Phoenix Hagen, where he averaged 12.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 28 German League games last season. He already played for Groningen in the past, averaging 7.9 points and 6.6 rebounds in 40 Dutch League games in the 2006-07 season, reaching the Dutch Cup final. Turek has also played for PGE Turow in Poland, Gent Dragons in Belgium and Omniworld Almere in the Netherlands. He helped Turow to make it to the Polish League finals in 2009. As such, GasTerra becomes one of the first teams to complete its roster in all continental basketball. Its 2010-11 lineup will feature Matt Bauscher, Aron Roye and Robby Bostain as point guards, Henry Bekkering, Jason Dourisseau, Sander de Roos, Matthew Otten and Mark Peter Hof at shooting guards and small forward, as well as Turek, Matt Haryasz, Steve Ross and Jason Ellis at power forwards and centers.
