Benfica set win record in Portugal
28 vittorie consecutive per il Benfica
Last weekend Benfica crushed Queluz 88 to 55 and set a new Portugal record with 28 consecutive victories. The previous record was precisely held by Queluz with 27 wins in a row in the 2004-2005 season, when the club proclaimed champion in the now defunct LCB. Benfica's deed is a mix of wins in LPB and against teams from Proliga (second division), as the competition features crossed rounds.
The "reds" are top of the league without losses so far and look to regain the champion status after 13 years. The team features some of the Portuguese top players, such as Sérgio Ramos, João Santos, Élvis Évora, Miguel Minhava, Diogo Carreira or António Tavares.
