AMMAK SP triumph in Macedonian Cup

AMMAK SP were crowned the new Macedonian Cup champions. They defeated Swisslion Pelister in the Final game yesterday to take over the Cup crown from Feni Industrija.
AMMAK SP defeated the 2008 Cup holders 84:78 in the semifinal. The teams kept it close throughout the game but AMMAK SP were a bit more successful late in the encounter and celebrated a tough victory at the end. Eftim Bogojev (185-G-80) scored 20 points to lead AMMAK into the Final. Taliek Brown (186-G-82, agency: Octagon, college: Connecticut) responded with game-high 25 points for Feni Industrija.
In the meantime Swisslion Pelister defeated Fersped Rabotnicki 82:67 to reach the title decider. Aleksandar Held (-81) notched 19 points to pace Swisslion Pelister. Dime Tasovski (201-F-80, agency: Interperformances) replied with 21 points in the loss.
So finally the Final time arrived. The teams started the game slowly before Swisslion Pelister accounted for some timely buckets late in the starting period to take a 17:14 lead. AMMAK SP quickly denied the deficit and the things were tied at 35 at halftime. AMMAK opened the third frame with a 14:7 rally which proved decisive. Pelister failed to erase the deficit and trailed throughout the rest of the game. Eftim Bogojev knocked down 20 points to lead AMMAK SP to the triumph. Aleksandar Sovkoski (191-G/F-81, agency: Global Sports Plaza) and Mladen Gambiroza (206-C-75) produced 13 points each in the victory. Milan Miljkovic (186-G-86) topscored with 16 points for Swisslion Pelister. Dimitar Karadzovski (189-G-84, agency: Global Sports Plaza) and Giorgi Talevski (203-F-76) finished with 12 points apiece in the losing effort.
