Haifa tabs Dixon

Following the loss in the cup finals Maccabi Haifa Heat made a big move to better their chances in the BSL with the addition of Malik Dixon (187-G-75, college: UALR). This will be Dixon's third visit to the Israeli league after starring for Maccabi Rishon Lezion in 2004/05 when he was the top scorer of the league, and last season when he won a historical championship title with Hapoel Holon. Dixon was the one to nail a floater in the closing seconds to take down the giant Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Haifa is still waiting for Doron Perkins (188-G-83, college: Santa Clara) to recover from injury, and in the meantime hope Dixon's addition will cover for his absence. Once the duo will share minutes and spot on court Haifa is expected to feature one of the more productive back courts in the league.

Another possible addition to Haifa's back court could be Cheyne Gadson (192-G-80, college: Oklahoma St.), who played for Armani Jeans Milano in the Euroleague and Italian league the past season.
