Steenberge in AZS Koszalin

Kevin Steenberge (211-C-83, agency: 540 Sports, college: Richmond) became a new face in AZS Koszalin. Big guy has signed a deal until the end of the season and will appear at Koszalin on Thursday so he will probably be able to debut against PBG Basket Poznan on Saturday. 25-year-old American center has been contracted in case of Ime Oduok's (203-F/C-71, college: Loyola Marymount) health problems. However, it's certain that Nigerian player will stay in AZS.
Steenberge is a graduate from Richmond University. In his last season (2005/06) there, he averaged 10.2 ppg., 4.6 rpg. and 2.2 bpg. Next he moved to Imaje Sabadell Gapsa in Spanish LEB2. He played there six games and stated to seal a deal with Butte Daredevils (CBA league). In 2007/08 he was a starting five member in Ryukyu Golden Kings in Japan. This season he started in Aris Friesland Leeuwarden in Dutch Eredivisie. He averaged 7.6 ppg. and 4.6 rpg.
