Armin Mazic signs with Glasgow Rocks
The forward moves to BBL
After major speculation, the Glasgow Rocks can finally confirm the signing of 6’7” Czech/Croatian Swingman, Armin Mazic, for the 2015/16 season.
Mazic, who was born in the Czech Republic and holds Croatian citizenship, will bolster the 2015/16 Rocks roster and bring some extra size/length to the rocks back court. Mazic will be coming to the Rocks off the back of a season with Italian A2 League team Dinamica Generale Mantovana. Prior to that, Mazic played in the Croatian A-1 League as well as for Italian SerieA teams Vanoli-Braga Cremona and Benetton Treviso. Coach Davis is excited about his most recent signing and is confident that he will be a good fit for the Rocks this season.
“Armin is a very skilled player especially for his size. His ability to play all 3 positions on the perimeter will work well for us and for this league. He has been playing basketball at a high level from a youngster and been a part of some quality clubs within Europe. He is very much a competitor and a class guy with his teammates.”
Newest Rock, Armin Mazic, had the following to say ahead of his début BBL season
“I’m very happy because I will be playing under Coach Davis. His will to bring me to Glasgow was so big so it was not a difficult decision for me to sign with the Rocks. I can’t wait to start the season, meet my new teammates and win trophies. I have heard a lot of good things about the city, the arena and the fans. I’m blessed and want to thank the team for this opportunity. See you soon Rocks fans!”
