Cheshire Phoenix sign Lester Prosper
He had a brief experience in Russia
Cheshire Phoenix have moved quickly to fill the void left by Gareth Murray’s departure with the signing of 6'10" forward/centre Lester Prosper.
Prosper, who hails from the British Virgin Islands, is 26 comes to the BBL Championship side having plied his trade in the Russian Superleague, Saudi Arabian Premier League, Colombia Liga DirecTV and the Canadian NBL.
He has also gone a few rounds in the US summer leagues, notably taking tips on how to improve his game from Chicago Bulls’ Taj Gibson after impressing the NBA veteran as an opponent and has appeared for Great Britain’s U23 team.
“We are happy to have Lester join our squad on such short notice,” said Phoenix Head Coach John Coffino.
