BK Ventspils wins Baltic League, Janis Timma named MVP
In the last eight years the Trophy was won just by Zalgiris Kaunas and Lietuvos Rytas
Latvian team BK Ventspils won the Baltic Basketball League championship. In finals they defeated Lithuania's Prienai, winning on aggregate.
Ventspils won series on aggregate, 161-142. Ventspils' player Janis Timma was named as the MVP of the finals.
n previous eight BBL seasons Zalgiris Kaunas or Lietuvos rytas were the champions. Ventspils became the first team other than those two to win BBL.
