Vladimir Dasic returns to KK Buducnost
Buducnost also keeps coach Jovovic
Perennial Montenegrin champion Buducnost VOLI Podgorica announced a deal that will keep head coach Igor Jovovic for at least another year at the bench, and will bring back forward Vladimir Dasic for the next season, too. Head coach Jovovic , 31, grew up with the team first as a player, then a coach. He has been an assistant coach for six years before taking over the reins in April of 2012. Last season was his first full as the head coach, and after ending team's Eurocup campaign with 3-7 regular season record, he went on to lead the team to the Montenegrin double, and the fifth place in the Adriatic League.
Dasic (2.08 meters, 26 years old) returns to the club he grew up with after 5 years away. He played three Eurocup seasons with Buducnost, making his debut as a 16-year old a decade ago. In 23 career Eurocup games he has 7.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 1.0 assists. After signing for Real Madrid in 2009, he also played in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague – with Madrid, Virtus Roma and Besiktas JK Istanbul – having career average of 6.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.0 steals. In his career he also played for Gran Canaria in Spain, Union Olimpija Ljubljana in Slovenia, Metalac Valjevo in Serbia, and last season he was with Al Ahli Dubai in United Arab Emirates.
