His teammate Aleksa Popović was named the best player of Montenegrin Cup Final Four tournament.
Before beating Sutjeska in the final, Budućnost VOLI had to get past Zeta 2011 in the semi-final and ABS Primorje in the quarter-final, which they did without a scratch (77:54 against Zeta 2011 and 100:69 against ABS Primorje).
Previously, Budućnost VOLI claimed the cup titles in years 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. They only failed to take the crown last year, when Sutjeska surprised them in the final and took the victory away from them in the 2nd of the 3 consecutive cup finals, played by Sutjeska and Budućnost VOLI in the past three years.
