Sonny Weems' agent: 'Sonny will stay with Zalgiris all season'

Roger Montgomery, Sonny Weem's agent, said to Sportando that Sonny Weems will finish the season in Lithuania with Zalgiris Kaunas.

"Sonny will be staying in Zalgiris all season and will not be going back to the NBA this season. Sonny Weems is committed to Zalgiris Kaunas and that's that. All other reports about him leaving are false and written inaccurately" said Roger Montgomery.

Here is what Sonny Weems wrote few days ago on HoopsHype: 'We're down 0-3 in the Top 16 of the Euroleague after losing against FC Barcelona. It's a tough situation right now. We've got our backs against the wall and if we lose again on Thursday against Barcelona we probably won't make it to the next round. We have three more games and we can't lose. I'm ready. Sadly, if we don't make it, I don't know... I've been in discussions with my agent Roger Montgomery and owner Vladimir Romanov and see where the future lies. We've had strong discussions with the owner to see what can we do if we don't make it, but I don't think I will stay around for the end of the Lithuanian League. I want to keep playing with Zalgiris and make the Top 8. We'll see if I stay playing the Lithuanian League and the VTB League, which is competitive but it's not like the Euroleague. I came over here to play the Euroleague and there's no more Euroleague... If we don't make the Top 8, I will probably go back to the NBA, but you never know. We'll know in about two weeks or so.".

While today on Ria.ru, Vladimir Romanov, owner of Zalgiris Kaunas, said that Sonny Weems will not leave the team before the seasons ends.
