Lietuvos Rytas signed Goran Jeretin to replace Aleksandar Rasic

Lietuvos Rytas signed with a short-term deal Goran Jeretin who will be replacing Aleksandar Rasic, out with a back injury for few weeks. Jeretin spent last season in Russia with Lokomotiv Kuban averaging 4ppg in Eurochallenge and 6.1ppg in PBL. Lietuvos Rytas will be without veteran Aleksandar Rasic for the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Qualifying Rounds after the point guard returned from EuroBasket 2011, where he represented the Serbian national team, with a back injury. Rasic went down during the second round in Vilnius and did not play in the final six games of the competition. After joining Rytas this week, the team’s medical staff diagnosed the injury and ordered the player to rest for the next five weeks. The qualifying rounds begin on September 29. Rytas faces KK Buducnost of Montenegro in its opening game.
