Zalgiris Kaunas gets Milovan Rakovic on loan from Siena
Il serbo per un anno giocherà in Lituania
One of the best centers in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague last season switched teams on Wednesday, when Zalgiris announced an agreement with Montepaschi Siena to get Milovan Rakovic on loan for one year. Rakovic (2.08 meters, 26 years old) averaged 8 points and 3.8 rebounds in 22 Euroleague games last season. He was the only Montepaschi player to start in all games and helped the team to make it to the Final Four, also lifting the Italian League and the Italian Cup trophies. Rakovic arrived to Siena from Spartak St. Petersburg, where he averaged 14.3 points and 6 rebounds in the 2009-10 Eurocup. He has also played for several teams in his native Serbia such as Mega Ishrana, Atlas Banka Novi Beograd and Polet Keramika Novi Becej. Rakovic helped Spartak to make it to the Russian League semifinals in 2009 and reached the Russian Cup semifinals in 2010.
