Zalgiris Kaunas not in hurry to change
La squadra sta programmando senza fretta il futuro
Zalgiris Kaunas will not have much to worry about this off-season.
Paulius Motiejunas, the GM of the Lithuanian powerhouse, revealed that the club is in search for players in point guard and center positions.
“We are in no hurries at the moment and don‘t want to make rash decisions as not all domestic championships around Europe have ended. We know what our needs are as we're currently short in the point guard and center positions,“ Paulius Motiejunas told BasketNews.lt.
All players except Povilas Cukinas, Travis Watson and Tadas Klimavicius have guaranteed contracts for next year, but all three have a team option in the contract and might still be extended for another year.
Motiejunas said that all players will be approached, but it‘s not sure whether all three will stay.
“We all saw how Klimavicius played in the finals, so we would want to see Tadas in the team for next year as well,“ Zalgiris‘ manager made it pretty clear what the team‘s priorities are.
