Suduva lands Varnelis

Suduva Marijampole has decided for some more roster changes. The Sudovians will be joined by veteran forward Nerijus Varnelis, but Matas Niparavicius will not stay at the club any longer.

The 31-year-old Varnelis started the season in Czech Republic playing for Novy Jicin, but had decided to leave the club just recently. It’s still unclear for how long will Varnelis stay in Marijampole because his agent is still looking for a contract abroad.

Suduva’s management are playing in the player market on nearly a player-per-week basis. The team’s list of players, who have played for at least a game stretches, but left the club for one or the other reason stretches to 12.

March 1st will mark the transfer deadline for all Lithuanian League (LKL) clubs and no players can be registered after this date.
