Viskontas signs with Lietuvos Rytas
Il giocatore andrà in prestito al Perlas
Lietuvos Rytas and playmaker Aidas Viskontas concluded a deal that will bring the guard, who played for Techasas Panevezys, to Vilnius.
The defending Lithuanian champions signed a two and a half year contract with the 185 cm tall player. However, Viskontas will not join the main team yet and will finish the season in Lietuvos Rytas' secondary team Perlas Vilnius.
Viskontas played only one game in the Lithuanian League (LKL) for Techasas, in which he scored 18 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished out 4 assists.
The point guard was recovering from an injury, which he suffered whilst preparing for the Universiade in Belgrade this summer. Viskontas has played for Sakalai Vilnius, Neptunas Klaipeda and Nevezis Kedainiai earlier in his career before signing with Techasas in January.
Perlas are now in the ninth position in the LKL standings, one below the last playoff spot, with a 6-10 record.
